More than Just a Fundraiser (MTJAF) is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to building meaningful connections between medical nonprofits and the specialists who can help advance their missions. Too often, nonprofits are excluded from conversations at medical conferences and professional meetings, limiting their ability to share expertise and form vital partnerships.

Through no-cost webinars and in-person events, our mission is to ensure that medical nonprofits are not only present, but engaged and valued—gaining visibility, fostering collaboration, and helping specialists better understand the critical resources these organizations provide to patients. Future plans include a fundraising component as well to help support the work of these amazing organizations.

MTJAF webinars run about an hour and feature 4 or 5 organizations and approximately 50 attendees from relevant medical practices. Each organization will have about 8-10 minutes to present about their mission and what they offer patients. There will also be time for a Q&A. In addition, attendees will leave with a cheat sheet or resources and information to share with their patients. These webinars are completely free for participating organizations and attendees.

We are a fairly new organization, and we’re starting with online events. However, the ultimate goal of MTJAF is to hold in person fundraising events that also include CME for the attending physicians that foster connections and education while also raising money for the participating organizations - more than just a fundraiser, more than just CME.
